The lure
that reports
back.

A crankbait with a sensor suite sealed inside. Every cast it logs depth, water temperature, and the exact moment a fish hits — then hands the whole story to your phone when it surfaces.

What it tells you

Stop guessing what
happened down there.

You already read depth, temperature, and bites through the line and your gut. CastIQ measures them at the lure and keeps a record of every cast.

DEPTH

Where it actually ran

A pressure sensor in the body tracks running depth through the whole retrieve. Tare at the surface, cast, and see the real dive curve — not the number on the package.

TEMP

Water temp at the fish

Temperature where the lure is, not where your boat is. Find the thermocline, the warm pockets, the cold inflows — and log what the fish preferred.

STRIKE

Every hit, timestamped

A motion sensor flags strikes and marks them on your session with depth, temp, and a GPS pin from your phone. Tap to label real hits vs. snags — the detection gets smarter over time.

How a cast works

Radio dies underwater.
The lure doesn't care.

Bluetooth can't reach through water, so CastIQ doesn't try. It records on-board while submerged and syncs the instant it surfaces — your session never breaks.

1

Connect & tare

Pair to the app, dip it at the surface to zero the depth, start the session.

2

Cast & dive

The link drops. The lure keeps logging motion, depth, and temp many times a second to onboard memory.

3

Fish hits

The strike is detected and marked on the lure — whether or not your phone can hear it.

4

Surface & sync

It reconnects on its own, picks up the same session, and fills in everything that happened below.

Two generations of working hardware, designed and assembled in Acton, Massachusetts by a father-and-son engineering team. Here's where it honestly stands.

Fair questions

Before you
put money down.

Is the deposit really refundable?

Yes. Cancel anytime and the full $25 comes back, no questions asked. The deposit exists to size the first batch honestly, not to trap anyone.

What does reserving actually get me?

A spot in the first production batch and the founder price, locked in when pricing is announced. The final price is announced before any balance is charged — if it isn't right for you, cancel for a full refund.

Which body ships first?

The billed crankbait. Jerkbait and lipless follow — and the poll above genuinely shapes that order.

When do lures ship?

When it's ready. Two generations of hardware are already fishing, but we won't ship until it survives real seasons on real water. Follow the build and you'll hear ship dates before anyone else.
